This is a 464-acre state park on the shore of Narragansett Bay, with four miles of hiking and biking trails, gardens, 10 playing fields, and six picnic groves. Fishing, concerts, and naturalist programs are offered in season.

East Bay Bike Path

Following the old Penn Central Railway right-of-way, this nearly 15-mile long, mostly flat bike trail runs from India Point Park in Providence, through East Providence and Barrington to Independence Park in Bristol. The 10-foot-wide paved path runs through the county, along the shore, and through salt marshes and woods. The bike path's southern tip eventually will connect to the Blackstone Bikeway now under construction.

Haines Park is home to baseball fields, a large picnic area, and a boat ramp. The East Bay Bike path runs through the park for those looking for a shorter bicycle ride.
