Purveyors of the Practical and Hard-to-Find

Send emailEmail   Click to view mapSee Map

When Vrest Orton opened the doors of The Vermont Country Store in 1946, it was the first restored rural store in the nation. Where else can you buy a wedge of aged Cheddar cut from a 38-pound wheel, a long-lost apothecary item, a red union suit, a Gilhoolie, then fill a bag with old favorites at the candy counter? Stocked to the rafters with practical and hard-to-find merchandise you can¹t find anywhere, The Vermont Country Store has something for everyone. Experience our stores in Weston (Rte. 100; 802-824-3184) and Rockingham (just off I-91 on Rte. 103; 802-463-2224), open daily, 9-5:30.

Dine on home-cooked New England fare at Weston¹s Bryant House Restaurant (802-824-6287), open daily, 11-3:30; Fri. & Sat. 11-8.
