Newport's dramatic coastline, parks, and historical sites offer great family activities

This beautiful city by the sea offers much in the way of family lodging, entertainment, education and fun. Stay on the harbor and take a harbor cruise, explore a revolutionary fort, have close encounters with real wildlife and sculpted green animals. Find a beach, tour the International Tennis Hall of Fame and walk along the ocean on Cliff Walk. Bountiful local farms offer great food and NE’s “best ice cream.” You’ll find lighthouses you can visit and enough historic landmarks and artifacts to teach your own history class when you get home.
