Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular 2017 at Roger Williams Park Zoo - Providence, RI

In 2017 the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular – a trail in Roger Williams Park that passes elaborate installments of carved jack o lanterns -- will take explorers through time and visit with dinosaurs, explore the ice age, and peek into the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Rome. See images of the Middle Ages, the New World, and human inventions. Art and music of each era will accompany the intricate pumpkin carvings. Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is open rain or shine; no refunds or rescheduling.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday visits are available for purchase online only; timed ticket entry requires pre-registration. Adults, $18; children ages 2-12, $15. Trail open 6-11 p.m.
Monday through Thursday visits are sold online and at Zoo admissions. Adults, $15; children at 2-12, $12. Trail open 6-10:30 p.m. Last ticket is sold at 10 p.m.

Audubon’s Perfect Pumpkin Party - Bristol, RI

Search for hidden pumpkins throughout the wildlife refuge, try your hand at pumpkin ring toss and other games then collect stickers for your own “patch.” Visit our silly photo booth for a fall family picture and purchase a pumpkin to decorate with creative art supplies. Don’t forget to come in costume – those who do will receive a prize. The party will include favorite games from last year as well as new activities. No need to register.

Soaring Eagle Zip Ride at Roger Williams Park and Zoo - Providence, RI

The Soaring Eagle Zip Ride offers delightful views 115 feet above the Roger Williams Park & Zoo, allowing riders to Providence and Narragansett Bay from side-by-side seats. The zip ride is in the zoo's new Explore & Soar area. You must buy tickets to the Zoo to ride the zip ride. Open daily, weather permitting.
The zip ride will be open every night during the zoo’s Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, October 5 through November 5. The scenery at night with the dazzling lights of more than 5,000 pumpkins and the city lights add to the magnificence of the popular pumpkin extravaganza. You must buy tickets to the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular to ride the zip ride at night. Passengers must be at least 42 inches tall and fit securely in the restraint systems. $12-$15 per rider
