WaterFire 2016 - Providence, RI

Jul 9, 2016 - Nov 5, 2016 Waterplace Park Providence, RI
All full WaterFire installations light up over eighty braziers from Waterplace Park to Memorial/South Main Street Park. Partial lightings usually include all of the braziers from Providence Place Mall to Steeple Street. Lighting occurs shortly after sunset and the event continues until half past midnight. Food vendors will be located on Washington, College and Steeple Streets.

August 20 -- Full Lighting – Sunset 7:37 p.m.
September 4 -- Full Lighting with tango music and tango performances -- sunset 7:15 p.m.
September 24 -- Full Lighting – Sunset 6:38 p.m. Chinese Culture Night with interactive displays on Steeple Street all evening
October 1 – Full Lighting – Sunset: 6:26 p.m.
November 5 – Full Lighting – Sunset: 5:34 p.m.

On this September weekend, eagles, owls, hawks and falcons will descend onto Bristol, Rhode Island. They have razor-sharp gallons, highly developed eyesight and hooked beaks- but never fear, wildlife rehabilitators and experts are here! These birds will be featured in flight demonstrations, educational programs, and activities for bird enthusiasts.

Beowulf: A Thousand Years of Baggage - Providence, RI

In this musical rendition of the classic piece of literature, the plot follows the hero, Beowulf as he attempts to save the hall of Heorot from three giant beasts, Grendel, his mother and a fire-breathing dragon. Meanwhile, the academics in the hall are analyzing his every move.
