On the last Tuesday of each month through May, there will be fun (and educational) hands-on learning at Blithewold estate. This year they will offer programs in science, history, and art. Each month, the estate will begin by collecting data for Cornell University’s Lab of Orthinology to help scientists track changes in bird populations across the globe.
Indoor and outdoor learning experiences in science, history, and the arts complete the curriculum, which aligns with RI, MA, and CT state standards.
Between sessions, there is plenty of time to enjoy a nice picnic or run out some energy on the Great Lawn. The programs are designed for Ages 8 – 13. Adult chaperone required.
Class size is limited to 15. Reservations are required.
Monthly Program Topics:
January: Textiles; February: Family Tree; March: Tea Etiquette; April: Architecture; May: Science of Kites. Dates: Jan. 30, Feb. 27, March 26, April 30, and May 28.
