Newport Vineyards and Eating with the Ecosystem present an evening of education and eating local with a 5-course dinner paired with Newport Vineyards wines, led by Executive Chef Andy Teixeira, along with Newport lobsterman Al Eagles. Part of the proceeds will go towards the Scales & Tales Mobile Food Boat Program.
Time: 6-9 p.m.
Admission: $90 per person, includes 5-course pairing dinner, tax, and gratuity

The fest hosts expect hundreds of people to turn out to eat thousands of oysters from six farms in Rhode Island. The competition for speediest shucker will be fast and furious. Buy a Raffle Ticket for Oysters for 2 in New Orleans. Includes airfare, hotel and dinner at Felix's Oyster House.

Rhode Island Seafood Festival 2017 - Providence, RI

This fest brings together the best local producers of seafood and other fine food as well as beer, wine and spirits from Rhode Island producers. There’s a full schedule of live music as well as activities that all the family can enjoy. Entertainment schedule.

Ulysses S. Grant Meets Ida Lewis Culinary Adventure - Newport, RI

Newport Historical Society hosts a period dinner inspired by the 1869 meeting between Ulysses S. Grant and lighthouse keeper Ida Lewis, a Newporter who gained fame after she rescued two soldiers from drowning near Fort Adams on March 29, 1869 in the midst of a great storm.
Time: Opens 6:30 p.m. for general admission tickets; 5:30 p.m. for VIP ticket holders, for a cocktail hour and reenactments.
