Two Amtrak routes, traveling from Virginia to Boston, and the high-speed Amtrak Acela, traveling from Washington, D.C., to Boston, travel through Rhode Island, with stops (depending on the route) at Westerly, Kingston, and Providence. Also, the TF Green Airport in Providence/Warwick, is served by commuter trains of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority -- aslo known as the "T" -- from Providence/Warwick to Boston.
