Newport offers gorgeous views, tasting, and tours at vineyards & wineries

There’s a wine to please everyone’s palate at the Newport Vineyards, over 60 acres of vines spread across 100 acres of preserved farmland. Relax indoors in unmatched venues with a rustic yet modern feel and breathtaking vineyard views, or sit on the patio or out by the vines in an Adirondack chair. You’ll want a glass of the family owned-and-operated vineyard’s many wines to make the experience even more enjoyable: the fruit-forward cabernet Franc, perhaps, or a dry Riesling. Flights of wine, and of beer from the on-site Taproot Brewing Company, are always offered, as is a full menu of delicious farm-to-table apps, entrees and fabulous desserts. Winery tours are offered daily at noon and 2 p.m. Check the website for special food and entertainment events.
