Car Shows

British Motorcars in Bristol, RI

On June 6th & 7th the BMCNE will kick off its Annual British Motorcars in Bristol car show that includes a scenic tour around Southern New England, hosting a block party in downtown Bristol, and a public Car Show in an effort to raise money for local charities through car show registrations, vendor booths, area sales, and sponsorships. The events are FREE for visitors. Bring your family and friends for an entertaining day of historic British cars, vendors and the beautiful sites of Narragansett Bay. There will be a British Car Corral, British Marketplace & Auto Jumble, and Food & Beverage Concessions are all open.

Rogue Island Comedy Spring Festival

Celebrating Ten Years! Spring Fest is May 22-25, 2025. Started in 2015, RICF is Rhode Island’s only comedy festival, held bi-annually, and produced by native Rhode Islanders Doug Key and Katie Latimer. The Spring Rogue Island Comedy Festival will be hosted at locations in and around Newport, Rhode Island.

Newport Classical Music Festival

Newport Folk Festival

The Newport Folk Festival, founded by George Wein in 1959, takes place on the grounds at Fort Adams State Park and features four stages of world class musicians, food, vendors and a number of exhibits. Fort Adams is located at 90 Fort Adams Drive, Newport, RI. One of the park system’s national treasures, Fort Adams is situated at the mouth of Newport Harbor with panoramic views of the Newport Bridge and the East Passage. The festival runs rain or shine. 2025 Public Onsale begins Wednesday, February 5th at 1:00 PM EST.

9th Annual Newport Oyster & Chowder Festival

Taste your way around the Ocean State! Sip a refreshing cocktail and enjoy oysters and chowder from local growers and vendors on the waterfront all weekend long. Did you know that RI is home to upwards of 45 oyster farms? The flavors are distinctive to each farm, so this is your chance to savor a sampling of them in one festive atmosphere! Oyster growers will be shucking alongside local restaurants and live music under our striped festival tents. The event is open to the public and all food will be available for purchase directly from vendors. Multiple cash bars will also be on site.

Daffodil Days at Blithewold Manor

Each April, Blithewold opens its gates to welcome visitors just as springtime begins. Our famous display, covers this 33-acre seaside estate with over 50,000 daffodils that delight visitors for nearly a month. The first week, timed to the annual school vacation week, is filled not only with flowers, but lots of fun-for-the-whole-family programming that celebrate our favorite yellow-flower friends. Hattem will draw on his latest book, The Memory of ’76: The Revolution in American History, to discuss Americans’ uniquely emotional connection to the memory of the Revolution and its central role in American life as a national “origin myth.” He will also explore how Americans have constantly revised the meaning of the Revolution in ways that have always been shaped by the times.

12th Annual BankNewport 10-Miler

The 12th annual 10 Miler, benefiting the Fort Adams Trust and the Boys and Girls Club of Newport County returns at 7:30 a.m. on June 1, 2025. The course prominently features Newport’s scenic coastal views and ends with a truly unique finish as participants enter Fort Adams through the north gate and finish on the parade field.

Feed the Birds!

Join us for a fun family morning of playing games and exploring how bird beaks’ shape and size are perfectly designed for the different things they eat, such as shellfish, nuts, berries, bugs, and nectar. 29th Annual Newport Flower Show

The 2025 Newport Flower Show, themed "A Floral Fair," will shine at Rosecliff from June 20-22, 2025, celebrating two enchanting and vibrant themes. Inside the elegant rooms of Rosecliff, guests will be transported back to the Gilded Age, honoring the legacy of Theresa Fair Oelrichs, the mansion’s original owner. Exhibitors in Floral Design and Botanical Arts will draw inspiration from her 1913 fairy tale-themed dinner, creating captivating displays of imagination and elegance. Adding a fun twist, the first floor will also bloom with playful arrangements reminiscent of a cheerful summer county fair. Tickets for daytime admission and events will be available to Preservation Society members starting Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Tickets will be available to the general public starting Friday, April 4, 2025.

International Tennis Hall of Fame Open

Professional tennis will return to the Newport in 2025 as the International Tennis Hall of Fame (ITHF) today announced a revamped Hall of Fame Open, including ATP Challenger 125 and WTA 125 level tournaments. The Hall of Fame Open will become just the second combined men’s and women’s 125 level event in the United States. It will be the only grass court stop on the Hologic WTA Tour outside of Europe, and the first women’s professional tournament at the ITHF since the Virginia Slims of Newport concluded in 1990. Equal prize money will be awarded to both the men’s and women’s draws. Get up close to the pros and enjoy great seats in the shade. Every tennis Hall of Fame Open ticket comes with one free admission to the International Tennis Hall of Fame Museum.
