Blithewold Homeschool Days – Bristol RI

Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum hosts a fun and educational Homeschool Day on the last Tuesday of each month from September through May. The themes for each month are as follows: September 27, games; October 25, trees; November 29, nature; December 27, A Life in Service; January 31, the Arts & Crafts Movement; February 28, art; March 28, wildlife and ecosystems; April 25, flowers; May 30, pollinators. Guided tours of the Mansion and Grounds will be available at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.  and are limited to 20 people including children.

Cover some of the easily observed differences in skull morphology which separate different groups, and learn identification tips for the mammals most commonly found in Rhode Island. Then you will have a chance to explore a curated collection of animal skulls from around the world. If you have a specimen you’d like some help identifying, feel free to bring it in.
