RI’s South County has perfect terrain or golfing greens

Golf courses are found all throughout Rhode Island – from the mainland and the islands and the finger of rural land east of Narragansett Bay known as the East Bay. The South County region, which is largely rural inland and facing the Bay and the Atlantic Ocean on the east and south, has it fair share of golfing opportunities. Much of the land is flat and gently rolling, and much of it was once covered by farms a century or more ago, so the county is conducive to the terrain so essential to the sport. Golf clubs and resorts are a welcome and vibrant part of the sporting community in Rhode Island’s South County.
