Luscious lobster rolls, midway rides, car shows and tribute bands. The Charlestown Chamber of Commerce Seafood Festival has all that and more, Friday-Sunday, Aug. 2-4. Taste the steamers, chowder, fish and chips, clam cakes or raw bar. Check out the bungee jumping, wall climbing and karaoke. Tribute bands include Welcome To The Jungle (Guns and Roses), Dirty Deeds (AC/DC) and Southern Sky. Raffle prizes include lobsters, TVs and getaways. Fireworks at 9 pm on Saturday.

Rhythm & Roots Festival 2019

This seaside festival features 30 bands on four stages. It is a weekend filled with wonderful Cajun and Zydeco music and dance, delicious New Orleans-style food and good times. The festival is for all ages and has events and activities for children.
In 2019, several collaborations will add new zest to the line up. Dustbowl Revival and Hot Club of Cowtown will perform music of The Band. Peter Rowan and Free Mexican Airforce join up with Los Texmaniacs to add their authentic Tex-Mex flair. Joe Craven & the Sometimers and Railroad Earth will apply a original slant to the music of Jerry Garcia and John Denver. Headliners are the folk, blues and political protest musicians Son Volt on August 30, the danceable sound from The Mavericks the next night, and acoustic rockers Railroad Earth on September 1. Admission: Daily rate is $60-$75 and half-price for teens; three-day ticket is $175-$210. Cheaper if bought in advance.
Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival 2019

The Seafood Festival – July 25 to 27 -- is a major part of the Blessing of the Fleet Festival. Held Next to the Towers in Narragansett, Come dine on seafood prepared in the New England tradition, as well as other food vendors, a carnival, a beer and wine tent, and live music. Seafood Festival hours are Thursday and Friday, 5-10 p.m.; Saturday, 2-11 p.m.
The Blessing of the Fleet is Saturday, July 28, at noon at the Port of Galilee. Decorated commercial and recreational watercraft parade past local clergymen for a blessing and judges rate the decorations in a variety of categories.
