New England 4th of July Events Calendar 2025

Live music on the waterfront featuring Big Lux, family activities, vendors and food trucks. Narragansett Brewing will be on-site, for those interested in adult beverages. Fireworks show will begin at 9 PM.

Fireworks will be visible from various points on the shoreline, including Oakland Beach and Warwick City Park.

Celebrating the Fourth of July weekend at Ocean House or Weekapaug Inn offers an unforgettabe way to celebrate the holiday along the New England coast.
Join for a lively celebration on the Pond, with Weekapaug Inn's Stars & Stripes Bash on Thursday, July 3. This great tradition includes a New England lobster boil and BBQ classics, with live music and family fun, including balloon art and caricatures. It all leads up to the main event: a patriotic sing along and breathtaking fireworks display, providing a delightful holiday for guests of all ages.
Ocean House transforms the historic seaside setting into a festive hub for Independence Day. The Independence Day Beach Ball on Saturday, July 5, is one of Ocean House's signature traditions, featuring a classic New England lobster boil, grilled specialties, fun cocktails, live music and dancing with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop, all culminating in a spectacular fireworks display over the sea. The celebration is also available at Dalia on Seaside Terrace, with stunning views of the fireworks. Or reserve your own private fireworks viewing deck at Secret Garden, for up to 15 guests.

You can watch the fireworks from many places in town, including Colt State Park and Thames Street.

The Bristol Independence Rhode Race will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025. In partnership with the Bristol Fourth of July Committee, the half marathon will follow the beautiful downtown streets of America’s quintessential community when it is decked out in its finest – during the Oldest 4th of July Celebration in America. The course includes incredible historic homes, a town common and the America’s Cup Museum before heading out along the scenic coastline, through Roger Williams University and finishing along the water at Independence Park. ***New – a Two Person Relay has been added to this event. Register as a team, with the first leg being 7.5 miles, an exchange at Roger Williams University, and a second leg completing the 5.6 mile distance. All Male, All Female or Co-Ed teams are offered.

The Fourth of July Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and will step off at the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street (Rt. 114) and ends on High Street, between State Street and Bradford Street. Hope Street (Rt. 114) will be closed off beginning at 8:00 a.m., including Poppasquash Road. Beginning at 7:00 a.m., Chestnut Street, Naomi Street, and Sherry Avenue will be closed to traffic. A parking ban along the parade route goes into effect the night before the parade.
