Family Beach Day & July 4th Celebration 2018

The festivities will start mid-day with fun activities on the beach, followed by a free public concert at 5 p.m. on the deck of the North Beach Clubhouse. The festivities and the band will continue into the evening, culminating with a spectacular fireworks display.

Enjoy the 4th of July Fireworks up close in the harbor aboard our 65-foot America’s Cup 12 Meter yachts, US 16 Columbia and US 23 Heritage.The evening will start with a sail around Narragansett Bay. At dusk, the sails are dropped for a sunset motor cruise around the harbor and viewing of the fireworks. Dates: July 1 and July 4.

Fourth of July Fireworks Boat Rides

East Providence -- Pierce Memorial Stadium, 201 Mercer Street. Gates open at 7 p.m. for food, concessions, and music by Kicking Hole and Crushed Velvet. Rain date: July 6. 401-435-7511
Jamestown -- East Ferry Beach, Canonicus Avenue. Music on the town square starts at 7 p.m. Fireworks will be fired from a barge in East Ferry. Viewing is good at Mackerel Cove Town Beach. Parking is available along Canonicus Avenue, Narragansett Avenue.
Newport -- Newport Harbor. Best viewing is anywhere along Newport Harbor, facing west. Rain date: July 5. 401-845-5437
Narragansett -- Narragansett Town Beach, 39 Boston Neck Road. Rain date: July 5 A beach party starts at with sand castles by Sandtasia. Brass Force performs 5-7 p.m. on the deck at the North Beach Clubhouse. Fireworks at dusk.

Fourth of July Rhode Island Red Chick Hatch

Get up close and personal with about 200 newly hatched chicks and learn about raising your own. The living history farm’s two Rhode Island Red heritage flocks are replenished each year through the chick hatch.

Watch the Bristol Fourth of July Parade from bleacher-style seating, tables and chairs under the shade of the Linden trees at Linden Place Mansion. Ticket includes a continental breakfast and picnic lunch, restrooms, and elbow room! Tour the mansion and stroll the gardens.

“Favorite Movies” is the theme of the 2018 Fourth of July parade in Block Island. The parade starts at 11 a.m. from Veterans Park, just south of Great Salt Pond. After the parade ends, the annual Steak Fry benefiting the Block Island Fire Department happens at the Fire Barn from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Enjoy steak, corn on the cob, watermelon and salad.
