Rhode Island - Lodging

Rhode Island is nicknamed the Ocean State because of its gorgeous beaches, coves, inlets, and islands, as well as its seafaring history. Many RI accommodations, including hotels, motels, inns, and bed and breakfasts, place visitors close to wonderful ocean and river vistas. Visitors from all over the world enjoy the colonial city of Newport, with its long history of maritime trade, America’s Cup yacht racing, and professional tennis. The capital city of Providence has enjoyed a downtown renaissance in the past 15 years, and visitors flock to its many stores, restaurants, and its legendary WaterFire outdoor art spectacle. I-95 is the major highway that snakes through the state. Cities and towns along I-95 are served by a substantial number of brand name chain hotels and motels for business and vacation travelers. The city of Warwick hosts T.F. Green Airport, a hub for Southwest Airlines. On the topic of lodgings, there is a huge range of choices for all vacationers, from luxury hotels and bed and breakfasts, waterfront inns, and reasonably priced motels, campgrounds, and vacation rentals for children and families.
