The Samuel Durfee House is a federal period inn built in 1803. We are conveniently located downtown in Newport's Yachting Village, just a block from the harbor and the restaurants and shops on Thames Street and 1 1/2 blocks from Bellevue Avenue with its mansions, shops, and the Tennis Hall of Fame. Enjoy a delicious, gourmet breakfast each morning in the parlor or back patio. Afternoon refreshments are served each day in the parlor. All of our guest rooms have been uniquely decorated. We offer rooms with four-poster, canopy, and sleigh beds, and all rooms have private bathrooms. The house is air conditioned in the summer months. Off-street parking is provided.
