We invite you to stop by and learn something about life on a traditional family farm. Whether you come to get lost in the corn maze in autumn, to play with our Portuguese Water Dogs, tour the dairy farm, pick pumpkins, or select a Christmas tree, a day visiting the farm is fun and educational for the whole family. Our historic farm is perched upon a seaside cliff and is home to a seventy five head herd of Huacaya Alpacas. What is an alpaca? A gentle Camelid that is raised for its prized fiber. Glen Ridge Farm was once part of the Taylor estate of Glen Farm. The property proudly boasts the historic stone stable building and carriage house; still intact is the original wooden silo and brick well house as well. We look forward to sharing with you the historic property and our four-legged family of alpacas. Because we are a full-time working farm, please call to arrange your visit.

Greenvale Vineyards produces small quantities of exceptional estate grown wines. We are located long the Sakonnet River in Portsmouth, RI, five miles north of downtown Newport. We have jazz every Saturday from Memorial Day through October, and a year long schedule of concerts and open houses. Newport Vineyards is a family owned winery, founded in 1978. Paul and John Nunes, whose local roots date back to 1917, purchased the winery in 1995. Since that time, the winery has grown to 50 acres of varietal and hybrid grapes. Visitors are offered public tours at 1 and 3 pm, seven days a week. These include a tour in the vineyards, a behind the scenes look at the winemaking process and a tasting of five wines. The winery features an art gallery and retail shop with wine accessories and signature clothing. Private tours and tastings for groups of ten or more are available. Newport Vineyards specializes in rehearsal dinners, corporate affairs and custom labels. The winery hours are Monday thru Saturday 10-5 and Sunday noon-5 year around. Since the original vineyard plantings in the 1970s, Newport Vineyards, under the ownership of John and Paul Nunes, has grown to 60 vineyard acres. Aside from being one of the most scenic areas in New England, Aquidneck Island is blessed with one of the most desirable farming areas in the country, if not the world. Vineyard guests can take a tour of the grounds and learn about the wine-making process, browse our gift store, and sample some of our award-winning wines. We also offer our scenic gardens and Barrel Room for private functions and events. Open Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday, noon - 5 p.m. Public tours are offered daily at 1 and 3 p.m.

Young Family Farm began in 1997, when Tyler and Karla Young bought the 180 acre farm in beautiful Little Compton, R.I. Farming the land has been in Tyler's family for many generations. Here visitors can find seasonal crops such as potatoes, sweet corn, butternut squash, fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, and berries, as well as an abundant selection of fresh cut flowers. A pick your own apple orchard is a wonderful addition to the Farm Stand where families can enjoy a beautiful fall day picking fresh apples on the farm. Open daily from 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
