Feast in the Field Inaugural Dinner -- Portsmouth August 9, 2008 Feast in the Field is a series of culinary experiences held at Rhode Island’s unique agricultural settings. This evening’s feast will benefit RI FarmWays, a special initiative that helps farm owners create unique visitor experiences that showcase the history, culture, ecology and beauty of Rhode Island’s farms. Savor Providence: A Benefit for Trinity Rep -- Providence August 23, 2008 A new twist on the usual “taste” event, Savor Providence will take place throughout the many fine restaurants of Providence. Celebrating H.P. Lovecraft: A Literary Walk Tour – Providence August 23, 2008 The Rhode Island Historical Society will celebrate the life and works of Providence native and author Howard Phillips Lovecraft, an acknowledged genius of occult and horror fiction who wrote many tales set in Providence. Richard Grosvenor: Newport's Muse and Mentor
