Historic Foodways Workshop -- Bristol, RI

Local food, hearth cooking, and an eighteenth century dinner in one exciting evening. Participants in this workshop will spend an evening exploring what it meant to "eat local" in 1790s Rhode Island. Guests will help select heirloom produce from the garden, and will help prepare and enjoy candlelit dinner based on receipts from Amelia Simmons' 1796 American Cookery.
