Bowen’s Wharf Holiday Block Party and Christmas Tree Lighting 2015 - Newport, RI

The waterfront offers exceptional views of Newport’s Illuminated Boat Parade starting at 6:15 p.m. Our unique boutiques and restaurants are offering free hot cider, in-store specials and good karma sales alongside live music while the flotilla motors past.
On Saturday December 5, festivities on Bowen’s Wharf begin at 4:30 p.m. with Frosty the Snowman. The Christmas carol sing-a-long begins at 5 p.m. and the Mayor of Newport lights the Christmas tree at 6 p.m. After the lighting,Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive by boat (weather permitting). Join us for a magical evening of charm, fun, and good cheer.
Two hours of validated parking are available from participating Bowen’s Wharf merchants all season, and there is free parking at designated locations throughout the city of Newport.

christatnewportmansions Come to The Breakers, The Elms, and Marble House to enjoy holiday music, tours, gingerbread mansions, shopping, and visits from Santa Claus. The display of gingerbread mansions creates a village through which the scale model of the New York Central Railroad will travel.
At the Marble House, regional garden clubs have decorated the fireplace mantelpieces. At The Elms, the ballroom will be transformed into a Gilded Age streetscape, complete with sleighs and a topiary horse and footman.
Rosecliff will remain open daily, featuring the exhibit "Newport and Her Southern Sisters," exploring the links between Newport and New Orleans, Charleston and Baltimore, Virginia and Palm Beach.
Visits with Santa Claus. Children can visit with Santa Claus in a spectacular setting at The Breakers on December 6, Marble House on December 13, and The Elms on December 20. Noon to 3 p.m.
Holiday Evenings. Visit The Breakers and Marble House lit up for night time festivities. Come for a self-guided tour through the house, live music and treats. Held at The Breakers November 28 and December 5, 12, and 26. 6 to 8 p.m. On December 19, guests can see both of the houses for the price of one. 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is $35 to $45 for adults and $10 to $15 for children.
